About Us

"The love of this business comes from knowing that we're really making a difference in the quality of people's lives." says owner and director of “Care At Home”, Vanessa Carr.

With over 20 years of experience of caring and attending to those in need, Vanessa has a passionate commitment since childhood of caring for people and always knew she would work in a service capacity involving eldercare.

Vanessa Carr, Director of Care at Home, Eldercare Services."All of my life, I have cared for the people around me, family or neighbors. I've worked in nursing homes and convalescent centers. I was a pharmacy technician in the Air Force. I was a trouble shooter and claims specialist in the health insurance industry. I was an executive secretary for leaders in the group health and financial planning industry. As an administrator and director since 1987 in the home health care field, my experience shows in the quality of our services. Finding the best caregivers and being a great matchmaker in this industry is thrilling to me. I love making people’s lives easier.”

Care At Home has developed a compassionate, effective support system for clients and people with special needs. “We focus on the client's care with their families and closely monitor their relationships with the caregivers. We are on call 24 hours a day.”

“Real generosity toward the future lies in giving all to the present.” This quote from Albert Camus speaks to me of why do we caregivers care so much? Mother to daughter, son to father, children to parents, caregiver to client, whatever the combination, it is the caring for each other that helps define us. Let us help you strengthen those ties, to enrich the lives of our loved ones.”

Care situations are often compromised by lack of family support and can be limited by time or distance. Hospital stays often end abruptly or rehabilitation support comes to an end. Families are thrown into near crisis situations. The best way to predict the future is to help create it. When you see that a parent or a loved one is having difficulty remaining independent, it is time to start talking and planning. As care managers and consultants, we can design plans and services that are affordable and have the continuity of great care and trusted personnel.

Just like the caring for my own Mother, this is how “Care At Home” will work for you. We have negotiable rates on a sliding scale, temporary fees, and design your care around your specific needs. With an understanding and a true concern for our elders, I thank you for looking into our sight. Please see our list of services.
